THE BRONX - Police are searching for the suspect or suspects who burglarized two churches in the Marble Hill section of The Bronx. Investigators say St. Stephen's United Methodist Church on West 228th Street was one of the churches targeted last weekend. Rev. Nathanial Dixon says someone broke the locks on three doors and got away with $59 and four computer keyboards while church members were in another room for movie night. Despite the $2,300 in damage caused by the break-in, Dixon says he's praying for the person who committed the crime. Police say the other church that was broken into between Saturday and Sunday was the Water of Life Church on 225th Street. Officials say the burglar got in through an air duct and stole $6,000.The pastor at St. Stephen's Church says steps will be taken to increase security, including installing surveillance cameras.
