Police probe death of 3-year-old BX girl

THE BRONX - Police are investigating after a 3-year-old girl died in The Bronx this morning.

Officials say they were called out to an apartment on 140th Street on a report that the young girl was suffering from cardiac arrest.

Paramedics rushed the girl to Lincoln Hospital, where she died.

Neighbors say the girl and her 5-year-old brother were being cared for by their mother's boyfriend.

The medical examiner will be investigating the exact cause of the young girl's death.
