THE BRONX - Police have released a surveillance image of a suspect accused of fatally assaulting a man in the Bronx.

It happened Monday around 9:45 a.m. on Westchester Avenue and Hugh J. Grant Circle in Parkchester. 

Police say 41-year-old Willy Montilla was running from the suspect who eventually punched him in the chest three times before kicking Montilla in the back of the head, leaving him bleeding on the ground.

Montilla allegedly tried to hail a cab before falling unconscious. 

Police say he was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he later died. 

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
