THE BRONX - Police say four neighboring storefronts in University Heights were robbed by the same person in one swoop last Tuesday morning.

A recent fire forced one of the stores to close about two months ago. Police say the suspect used a rooftop doorway to make his way inside at around 2 a.m. Once inside, he tore down the connecting walls to ransack three more stores.

Police say the suspect stole $1,800 from My Pizza. They say he also lifted $10,000 worth of jewelry from University Pawn, and another $300 from a laundromat along with a makita saw.

Surveillance video of the incident has been released in hopes that someone might recognize the criminal.
