Police rescue man from Bronx River

Officials say a man jumped into the water, and when authorities asked the swimmer several times to get out of the water, he would not respond.

THE BRONX - Rescue crews rushed to pull a man from the Bronx River today before he got swept away.

Officials say a man jumped into the water, and when authorities asked the swimmer several times to get out of the water, he would not respond.

Authorities ordered a crew of rescue swimmers, helicopters and boats to rescue the man.

No one was injured during the incident.
