Police scour Bedford Park, Norwood for apartment burglar

NORWOOD - Police are scouring the Bedford Park and Norwood communities in search of a suspect that they say is responsible for several burglaries. Police say the man has been linked to at least eight robberies in the 52nd Precinct since August, and is believed to be connected to similar incidents in the 45th Precinct. They have described him as Hispanic, between the ages of 30-40 and about 200 pounds. Officials also say the man likely uses a pocket-sized crowbar to open apartment doors, and was last seen in a maroon-colored Mitsubishi Montero. Security cameras have only caught him four times, but police say they are accumulating clues that will hopefully lead to his arrest.
