THE BRONX - A massive search is underway after a child was allegedly abducted Saturday morning in West Farms.

Heavy police activity was spotted in the area of Honeywell Avenue and East 180th Street, where police say a 5-year-old boy was taken by one of his parents after a dispute between them.

Officers huddled around their commanding officer to receive a description of the boy and other instructions before spreading out across the area.

Residents say they are shocked to hear that something like this could happen in their neighborhood.
