WAKEFIELD - Police were searching for clues Tuesday into the slaying of a Wakefield mother who was shot to death in front of her children.

NYPD officers closed off Furman Avenue to everyone except local residents as they continue their investigation into the shooting, which claimed the life of 30-year-old Lakisha Scriven.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 1-800-577- TIPS.
