Police seek 2 suspects in Castle Hill jewelry heists

THE BRONX - Police are searching for two men who they say robbed two Castle Hill jewelry stores in broad daylight just days apart.

Authorities say the suspects got away with $20,000 in stolen goods from Castle Hill Jewelry at 2164 Westchester Ave. and Adam's Jewelry at 1258 Castle Hill Ave.

A manager at Adam's Jewelry says last Friday one of the suspects tried on $5,000 worth of items and then fled the store while his accomplice held the door for him.

Police say the same scenario played out yesterday at Castle Hill Jewelry, when one of the suspects put on three chains and ran away with the help of the second suspect.

Police have not yet confirmed whether the two robberies are connected.
