Police seek suspect in Bronx elevator robbery

THE BRONX - Police have released a surveillance video showing a suspect who they say robbed a woman inside an elevator on Saint Patrick's Day.

According to investigators, the incident happened at around noon inside an apartment building at 167th Street and 3rd Avenue. They say a 52-year-old woman was followed into an elevator by a young man, who snatched her chain and fled. The victim was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s. Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
