Police seek suspect in May attempted child abduction

Police say a man tried to abduct a 6-year-old boy near Yankee Stadium back in May.

Authorities say the suspect is approximately 30 years old and about weighs 190 pounds.

THE BRONX - Police say a man tried to abduct a 6-year-old boy near Yankee Stadium back in May.

Surveillance video shows the suspect approaching the boy around 9 p.m. on May 10 at Jerome Avenue and West 162nd St.

The man attempted to put the boy in a black vehicle until one of the boy's family members stopped him.

Authorities say the suspect is approximately 30 years old and about weighs 190 pounds.

He was wearing black dress shoes, a dark sweater and a button down shirt underneath at the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call police.
