Police still searching for hit-and-run driver who hit 5-year-old

(09/01/10) WILLIAMSBRIDGE - Police are still searching for the man they say is responsible for running over a 5-year-old boy and then leaving the scene.

The accident occurred at 930 East 214th St. just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday and was caught on a security tape.

Police say the boy, Joshua Saunders, ran into the street to chase a ball when a Nissan Pathfinder struck him and dragged him more than 50 feet down the road.

Police have flooded the boy's block with fliers showing a photo from the security tape and have even installed a JumboTron to spread the word and ask the person to come forward. Joshua is still in critical condition.
