THE BRONX - Police say a dispute between a superintendent and tenant turned violent when the wheelchair-bound tenant was stabbed.

Police say there was a violent altercation between the superintendent at 1706 Zerega Ave. and her tenant. The 47-year-old paraplegic man was stabbed during the fight, according to police.

Authorities say when they arrived at the scene they found the suspect, 50-year-old Janine Johnson, also covered in blood. Police say her wounds were self-inflicted.

The victim is in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center. Johnson is in police custody.
