Police: Surveillance video shows body dragged in suitcase

THE BRONX - Police say the person of interest in the case of a Bronx woman found dead inside a suitcase was caught on tape.

Investigators say the man can be seen on surveillance video strangling Betty Williams. They say he then stuffed her inside the suitcase he's seen dragging and left her out by the garbage Wednesday night in Harlem. A passerby reportedly went through the garbage near Rao's Restaurant and found the body.

Authorities say Williams, 28, lived at 204 Cross Bronx Expressway. Neighbors say they have never heard of the address or the woman.

Police are still trying to determine if Williams knew her attacker, and if she was killed near her home or in Harlem.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-577-TIPS.
