BEDFORD PARK - Police say they are trying to track down a suspect who attacked a woman and made off with her purse in Bedford Park.

Police say the incident happened on the evening of Nov. 5 on East 203rd Street. The suspect followed a 64-year-old woman into the elevator of her building, then grabbed her purse from off of her shoulder. He pushed her to the ground before he ran off, police say. The victim suffered bruises and scrapes.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his mid- to late-20s who stands at 5 foot 10 inches tall. Investigators have released an image of him with hopes that someone will recognize him.
