Police: Turnstile jumper was wanted for attempted murder

NYPD officers say they arrested a turnstile jumper who turned out to be a fugitive wanted for attempted murder.

THE BRONX - NYPD officers say they arrested a turnstile jumper who turned out to be a fugitive wanted for attempted murder.

According to police, 65-year-old Bronx resident Anibal Vargas was arrested yesterday at the Bleecker Street station.

After the arrest, officers discovered Vargas was wanted in Massachusetts for an attempted murder 26 years ago.
