THE BRONX - Police are using a special app to help catch cellphone thieves, including one here in the Bronx.

The app, called "Find my iPhone," helps police track down missing phones. Using the app, police were able to locate a 30-year-old Bronx man who they say stole an iPhone on the subway. Police say the suspect stole the phone from the sleeping passenger by cutting his pants pocket.

Police are also using the app to look for another Bronx man who stole a woman's iPhone last week near East Tremont. Investigators were able to get a good look at the suspect after he took a picture of himself on the phone, which was then linked to her Facebook page.
