THE BRONX - Police officials have announced that they do not believe the death of Robert Van Zandt Jr. was a suicide.

Van Zandt Jr.'s, 44, body was found floating in the pool in the backyard of his Brendon Hill Road home by his wife on Sept. 6. Police say he had a bullet wound to the back of his head.

Van Zandt worked with his wife, father and other family members running a well-known tax, real estate and insurance agency in the Bronx. Previously, he had served time in prison for fraud and was once reportedly the partner and money man of convicted mobster and murderer Vincent "Vinny Gorgeous" Bosciano. Police probe ex-con's death initially ruled a suicide
