THE BRONX - Police officers in the borough today made their way through the Morris Park community to warn seniors about recent burglaries in the area.

Officials say thieves are going to elderly residents' homes and pretending to do work. Thieves dressed as utility or construction workers were let in to three homes in the last month.

Officers today told seniors that unless they ordered service, they should not open their doors to anyone claiming to be from a water, oil or cable company. Police also suggested to always ask to see an official work badge.
