CLAREMONT - Police are searching for a man they say attacked and robbed a woman last week at a liquor store in Claremont.

The robbery happened at Claremont Wines and Liquors at 3826 Third Ave. in Claremont last Thursday. Just before 11 a.m., police say the suspect approached the woman and knocked her to the ground. He then allegedly struck her several times before grabbing her purse and taking off.
The woman did not report any injuries in the attack.

Police are looking for a black man who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. Police say he's 30 years old and has a beard. He was last seen wearing a red and yellow baseball cap and a brown-hooded sweatshirt.
