Police: Woman stabbed to death on East 187th St.

THE BRONX - Police say the suspect in the stabbing death of a 33-year-old woman tried to commit suicide yesterday.

Officials say they found the body of Jacqueline Defelipe stabbed in her apartment on East 187th Street around 2:30 p.m. yesterday. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Three hours later, police say they found Defelipe's husband, Jose Defelipe, atop a parking garage in Westchester County, where he jumped in an apparent attempt to take his own life.

Police say the husband sustained extensive internal injuries and was taken to the Westchester Medical Center.

Investigators say they have not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
