THE BRONX - The 1 train is number one in the city when it comes to cleanliness, according to the Straphangers Campaign.

An independent polling through the advocate group found that the busy red line is right on track after riders rated only 3 percent of its trains as dirty.

In the biannual report, the 1 line, which runs through The Bronx, also scored above average for cleanliness in 2008 and 2010.

The MTA did not conduct the poll and a spokesperson told News 12, "While we appreciate the positive results of the straphangers' latest survey, those results do not tell the full story."
