Polls open with slight delays

THE BRONX - ? Polls opened with slight delays in the Bronx today for the 2010 midterm elections.

At a Riverdale site, only one machine was working when the polling center opened. The new ballot system debuted for a second time after causing headaches for voters during the primaries.

The race for governor is closely watched as polls show Democratic front-runner Andrew Cuomo against Republican Carl Paladino. Yesterday?s polls showed Cuomo 25 points ahead of Paladino.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. today and will close at 9 p.m.
