THE BRONX - Traveling along the Bronx River Parkway has become anything but a smooth ride.

Potholes are riddling the roadway in both directions, causing many drivers to swerve into other lanes as they try to avoid them.

The Department of Transportation says it has been making temporary repairs and is working on permanent fixes to the potholes, but the extreme temperature changes are making things worse.

Drivers complain that the potholes are damaging their cars and causing flat tires.
