Pre-Thanksgiving Day rush hits Hunts Point Market

THE BRONX - The pre-Thanksgiving Day rush has arrived at the Hunts Point Market.

It's the busiest day of the year for the world's largest open air market, which is distributing 30 million pounds of produce today.

Hand trucks are filling larger trucks full of all the turkey-day staples before it gets shipped out to stores. Officials say one in four New Yorkers will have something on their plate this Thanksgiving that came from the terminal.
