NYCHA partnership allows for upgrades at Bronxchester Houses

THE BRONX - More than 200 units of the Bronxchester Houses were recently upgraded as part of a private partnership.

L&M Development Partners purchased a 50 percent stake of the NYCHA building, which allowed for some of the major improvements.

The improvements include new kitchen cabinets, heating and air conditioning units and bathroom renovations.

Common areas also received a full upgrade, including a new playground, a basketball court and a seating area.

NYCHA says they hope public and private partnerships continue at other buildings in the city.
