Pro ballers called to boycott games with Arizona

THE BRONX - Assembly Speaker Peter M. Rivera is demanding that Yankees and Mets players boycott June and July games scheduled with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the 2011 All Star Game in Arizona.

Community leaders are presenting letters to the team owners that call on them to take action against the Arizona immigration law. The law makes failure to carry immigration documents a crime and gives the police power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.
