THE BRONX - Many Bronx voters converged on local polling sites, only to be met with long lines and broken machines.

Frustrated voters lined up early down Carpenter Avenue, but say the doors didn't open up when they were supposed to at 6 a.m. because of a problem with the polling machines. They also complained about general confusion and disorganization once they got inside their polling centers.

The polls will remain open until 9 p.m. Voters who run into problems should call 311 to file a complaint.
