THE BRONX - The Archdiocese is launching a pilot program to make it easier for Hispanic parents to enroll their children in Bronx schools.

Eleven Bronx schools within the Archdiocese were chosen to participate in the Catholic School Advantage program.

Rudy Vargas works with the University of Notre Dame, which is also a partner in the project, and says cost is the biggest obstacle for most families. The pilot program is designed to let parents know there are financial options, and to recruit local donors to start scholarship programs.
