THE BRONX - Tenants in one West Bronx apartment building are taking a stand for better living conditions.

Residents of 755 Jackson Ave. met with Public Advocate-elect Letitia James to demand Stabilis Fund II, a private equity company, help combat a roach and mice infestation that they say has taken over their homes.

The management company told News 12 that it has spent more than $45,000 in repairs. According to a spokesperson, "We have dedicated significant funds to address the balance of damage, deferred maintenance items and necessary repairs, which are a result of a prior owner's neglect of the property."

The tenants also complain of collapsing floors and broken cabinets that force them to leave their food out in the open.
