THE BRONX - Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenager in Williamsbridge.

Officials say shots rang out at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in front of 768 East 215th St., just steps away from Agnes Haywood Playground. Cops arrived at the scene to find 19-year-old Quashawn Thomas lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

EMS rushed the teen to Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have yet to make an arrest and the investigation is ongoing.
