THE BRONX - A rally for justice was held Sunday in Fordham Manor for slain deli worker Waly Camara.

Loved ones, neighbors and members of the Black Lives Matter movement marched to the 52nd Precinct in memory of Camara, who was killed on Aug. 9.

Police say 30-year-old Efrain Guzman unholstered an officer's gun and fatally shot Camara after an argument inside the deli.

Investigators tell News 12 the suspect had 10 prior arrests before grabbing the officer's gun and shooting Camara.

Rally participants say it is unacceptable that someone off the street could grab a gun out of an officer's holster and shoot someone else.

Police sources say that the officer involved had an old, defective holster made of leather, which is slowly being phased out with sturdier plastic ones.

Many say Camara's death is now shining a light on defective police equipment.

Police have not yet answered any emails from News 12 asking specifically when the entire NYPD will be equipped with the newest model of holsters.
