THE BRONX - A rally was held Tuesday in memory of a 26-year-old Bronx woman who was shot in the head execution-style on East 214th Street in Williamsbridge.

Members of the group Stand Up to Violence joined hands and marched with elected officials to denounce what they say has become a gun violence epidemic in the community, specifically targeted at women lately.

Margarita Franco was killed around 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 2. Police say the slaying was captured on surveillance footage. They say the video shows Franco being approached by a man, talking to him and being shot shortly after. Franco, who went by "Marie," was found lying on the ground and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they will not be releasing the footage due to its graphic nature, but they plan on releasing a picture of the suspect.
