THE BRONX - Park rangers are giving Revolutionary War tours around Van Cortlandt Park in honor of Presidents Day.

The Bronx park is home to several landmarks from the war, including the Van Cortlandt Manor, which housed Gen. George Washington in his retreat north from the British army in 1776.

Many people say they pass through the park regularly without ever realizing that troops had once camped out on the same land.
