LOCUST POINT - Locust Point residents are celebrating the return of their neighborhood welcome sign two months after it was vandalized and had to be taken down.

The sign was nearly broken in half only three weeks after it had been installed. To deter future vandalism, the new sign is displayed five feet higher than the previous one.

The Locust Point Civic Association says it is looking into installing security cameras in the area to prevent any future incidents.
