THE BRONX - Empty beer cans and a six-pack found inside a refrigerator inside the 47th Precinct Station House by a NYPD captain have sparked an internal investigation, according the The Daily News.

The Daily News reports that the discovery was made at around 1 a.m. Friday when a captain was looking for a lieutenant at the station house on Laconia Avenue. They say no cop was found unfit for duty, despite the empty alcohol cans. Investigators interviewed 20 cops about the beverages between Friday and Saturday.

While some Bronx residents think the investigation is unnecessary for only a few beers, others agree that the cops should be held accountable for breaking one of their own rules.
