THE BRONX - A new report states that HIV rates among Bronx women are down.

A New York Women's Foundation report says the Bronx now has the second highest rate of new HIV diagnoses in the city at 28 percent. In previous reports, the Bronx had topped the list.

The report says Brooklyn is now considered the epicenter of new diagnoses, coming in at 32 percent.

The director of the AIDS Center at Montefiore Medical Center says the numbers in the Bronx have gone down because more women are getting tested.
