Report: No evidence of massive slowdown during 2010 blizzard

THE BRONX - The New York City Department of Investigation released its report today on the 2010 Christmas Weekend blizzard response, concluding there was no evidence of a massive slowdown by Department of Sanitation workers.

The investigation did raise other issues, however. The report states there were several issues that delayed snow removal, including broken chains and trucks.According to the investigation, the city also needs to do a better job clearing streets leading to hospitals such as Jacobi Medical Center.The report included the use of surveillance video from during the blizzard, interviews and GPS data.Residents: Some side roads still not plowed despite promiseBloomberg orders investigation of snow response
