BROOKLYN - Investigators have been pouring over surveillance video after the mysterious appearance of white flags on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Several published reports quote sources as saying there are various scenarios they are looking into. One scenario includes looking into those who helped set up the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks and had access to that part of the bridge.

Another scenario involves a group of about five people who walked along the bridge early Tuesday morning.

Two white flags were noticed during the morning commute Tuesday in place of where two American flags typically fly on top of the bridge's pillars.

Chopper 12 was overhead while officers scaled the bridge and pulled the white flags down.

As police continue to investigate the incident, they are indicating that the stunt does not appear to have any connection to terrorism or politics.
