MANHATTAN - Anticipation is riding high at Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota's campaign headquarters in Manhattan.

Staff members stationed at the Gansevoort Hotel on Park Avenue say they're ready for a long night. Recent polls have placed the former MTA chairman behind his opponent, Democrat Bill de Blasio, but Lhota says he is optimistic and ready for a strong finish.

Lhota adds that he has plenty of supporters on the ground, as well as lawyers should any polling issues develop.
