Residents along Pelham Pkwy. concerned over narrowed road

THE BRONX - Residents along the Pelham Parkway service road are worried that the new, narrower street may not be wide enough for emergency vehicles.

Neighbors say four months ago, the city widened the sidewalk and installed a pedestrian walkway, leaving little room for large emergency vehicles to travel.

Residents say they have collected more than 500 signatures on a petition demanding the city widen the road.
