Residents at BX building fed up with no mail service

THE BRONX - Residents at 753 East 214th St. say they are sick and tired of not receiving mail services at their building.

The building was opened about four months ago and according to postal officials, has yet to pass an inspection due to improperly installed mailboxes.

Residents say they have to walk 15 minutes to a post office on Gun Hill Road just to pick up their mail.

Building officials say they are going to correct the issue and ask the post office to re-inspect the building. Postal officials say that once the building passes inspection, mail service will begin.
