THE BRONX - Residents near a notorious illegal dump alongside the Grand Concourse say the city has neglected a promised cleanup of the area.

Last fall, News 12 reported on the filthy conditions near the Cross Bronx Expressway and East 174th Street.

The city's Parks Department promised to clean the site in October, but has not done so.

Residents and community activists are calling for the city to make good on its pledge.

The Parks Department did not immediately respond to a News 12 request for comment.
