THE BRONX - Residents in the Country Club area say falling trees and branches in their neighborhood are making for a dangerous situation for pedestrians.

Neighbors say the trees are brittle and their large branches keep falling off. They also complain the trees? roots have come up through the sidewalks, cracking the cement.

?It's an ongoing problem,? resident Elyse Bulla says. ?This problem is not getting solved and someone is going to get hurt.?

Neither the city?s Department of Parks and Recreation nor the Department of Transportation has returned phone calls.
