Residents call for stop light on Ellis Avenue

CASTLE HILL - Residents in Castle Hill are calling for a new stop light on Ellis Avenue due to a high number of car accidents.

News 12 The Bronx covered several crashes at the intersection of Ellis and Havemeyer avenues, including one in June when a car flew through someone's front yard.

The Department of Transportation says it has inspectors coming out at various hours throughout the day to check traffic patterns, but it will be weeks before a decision on the stop light is made.
