Residents call on Pelham Pkwy. drivers to hit the brakes

THE BRONX - Bronx residents near Pelham Parkway south are calling on drivers to hit the brakes and put an end to constant pileups.

According to neighbors, weekly car accidents at Williamsbridge Road have become the norm, including a car and bus collision that sent eight people to the hospital last Tuesday.

Many say speeding, road construction and trouble seeing the stop light could be contributing to the numerous accidents.
