FERRY POINT - Residents in Ferry Point are concerned about the lack of restrooms at their local park.

Dorothy Poggi, president of the Friends of Ferry Point Park, said that the Parks Department allocated $1 million for a comfort station at Ferry Point Park in 2008, but the area is still without a restroom.

A Parks Department spokesperson told News 12 The Bronx that a comfort station is currently being designed, and construction should begin during the summer of 2014.
