THE BRONX - Residents are starting to voice concerns on the condition of a vacant lot at Kelly Street and Westchester Avenue.

Neighbors say garbage bags, mattresses, cribs and chairs have filled the lot.

Community board member Rafael Salamanca says the lot has gotten worse over the past two years, creating health concerns.

Salamanca says the Department of Sanitation is waiting to get into the lot to begin cleaning, but the department must wait for a court order before starting.
