Residents demand replacement mailboxes

THE BRONX - Bronx residents on Vyse Street have been forced to wait on long lines for their mail since someone destroyed their mailboxes five months ago.

The residents say a car ran over their mailboxes in November of last year and they have yet to be replaced.

In statement, the United States Postal Service told News 12, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers residing on Vyse Street and agree that replacing this group of boxes has taken longer than usual."

The USPS says replacement mailboxes have now been ordered.
