Residents donate to BX school that was robbed

BEDFORD PARK - Donations are pouring in to Our Lady of Refuge School in Bedford Park following a burglary that left the school with very little.

Police say thieves broke into the school on Monday and stole $1,300 in cash, two laptops, a video camera and a scanner.

The school's pastor says at least 20 people have donated about $4,000 since the burglary.

Authorities say the school is one of five Bronx churches and schools that was broken into within the last month.

The pastor says police told him they found DNA evidence in the school and that they hope to match it with someone in the NYPD?s DNA database.
